Singapore’s Gardens By The Bay has been named the eighth best attraction in the world in Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards Best Of The Best 2024.
Rated 4.5 out of five stars from over 60,000 reviews, the tourist destination has been described by travelers as “well worth the visit” and “mesmerizing.”
Gardens By The Bay joins the ranks of world-renowned attractions such as New York’s Empire State Building (No. 1), Paris’s Eiffel Tower (No. 2), the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam (No. 3), and Barcelona’s La Sagrada Familia (No. 4).
The home to Cloud Forest and Flower Dome edged out Milan’s Duomo di Milano and Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which placed ninth and tenth, respectively. It is also the only attraction in Asia in the Top 10.
Other Asian attractions cited in the Top 25 include Cambodia’s Angkor Wat (12th), Mutianyu Great Wall in China (19th), India’s Taj Mahal (22nd), and Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine in Kyoto, Japan (24th).
The awards are based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.
Gardens By The Bay’s award is a significant achievement, as the winners of the Travelers’ Choice Awards Best Of The Best represent fewer than 1 percent of the eight million listings on Tripadvisor.
