Disneyland Paris made history on Bastille Day, July 14th, by achieving an extraordinary feat: setting a new Guinness World Records title for the “largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones.” A spectacular formation of 1,571 drones illuminated the night sky, creating a stunning giant Mickey Mouse head above Sleeping Beauty Castle. This mesmerizing display captivated guests and marked a significant milestone for the resort.
The 12-minute nighttime show combined pyrotechnics, lights, and breathtaking drone choreography, guiding spectators through five imaginative scenes. These scenes celebrated Disney’s classic stories inspired by France, featuring iconic symbols of French culture such as the Eiffel Tower and the rose window of Notre Dame Cathedral. The show also highlighted beloved scenes from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios films like Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sleeping Beauty, The Aristocats, and Ratatouille.
While the Bastille Day event featured a unique combination of drones and fireworks for a one-night-only celebration, Disneyland Paris continues to enchant guests with ongoing attractions like the Disney Electrical Sky Parade.
