In an impressive display of community engagement and fitness enthusiasm, Hong Kong’s first and largest in-mall cycling competition, “Tour de Link,” set a new record with over 14,800 participants. Organized by Link Asset Management for the fourth consecutive year, the event aimed to encourage healthier and more active lifestyles.
The “Tour de Link” took place in two rounds from August 7 to September 1 across six Link malls. The competition saw a 3.1 percent increase in riders from the previous year, with participants completing nearly 20,000 rides and covering a total distance of more than 37,500 kilometers.
In the first round, Tseung Kwan O emerged victorious, while Lam Tin won the second round and secured the overall championship for the first time. Lam Tin’s total distance of 7,771.91 kilometers earned them top honors.
In celebration of the winning districts, Link Asset Management donated HK$100,000 worth of meal coupons through 20 NGOs to residents in Tseung Kwan O and Lam Tin. This initiative reflects the event’s commitment to supporting the community and promoting well-being.
The success of “Tour de Link” underscores the growing enthusiasm for fitness and community engagement in Hong Kong.
