At 68, Indian car designer Sudhakar Kanyaboyina has transformed his childhood dream into reality with the Sudha Cars Museum in Hyderabad, India, now recognized as home to the world’s largest collection of wacky vehicles, according to the Guinness World Records 2025.
Sudhakar’s fascination with unusual cars has led to a remarkable assortment, featuring designs inspired by everyday objects such as vintage computers, shoes, hamburgers, and even toilets. One standout is the swan-shaped car, reflecting a concept from 1910, while the “Basketball Car,” inspired by his love for the sport, showcases his meticulous craftsmanship. Each vehicle can take up to 12 months to complete, emphasizing his dedication to detail.
This isn’t Sudhakar’s first foray into record-breaking; he previously held the title for the largest tricycle, towering at 12.67 meters (41 feet 7 inches). The museum attracts 1,000 to 1,500 visitors daily, including students and tourists, all eager to witness the creative flair on display.
Sudhakar plans to continue expanding his collection, aiming for 100 unique vehicles, and remains committed to celebrating inventiveness and creativity through his extraordinary designs. His journey is not just about cars but fulfilling a lifelong passion, inspiring others along the way.
