Midland International Air & Space Port has achieved a new record for airline passengers, reporting a total of 63,704 travelers in August alone. This brings the total for fiscal year 2024 to 679,622 passengers, surpassing last year’s total of 661,842 with one month remaining in the fiscal year.
The surge in passenger numbers is contributing to another record: net parking revenues. In August, the city collected $697,928 from parking fees, marking a 10.55% increase from August 2023. This brings the fiscal year-to-date total for parking revenue to $7,551,318, up from $7,176,233 in FY 2023.
