Hrithik Roshan, one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors, has captivated audiences for over two decades with his exceptional acting skills and striking looks. He made his film debut in 2000 with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, co-starring Ameesha Patel. The film not only marked the beginning of his illustrious career but also earned a place in the 2002 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records for winning the highest number of awards in film history, securing an impressive total of 92 accolades at various ceremonies. Additionally, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was recognized in the Limca Book of Records, with Roshan himself receiving awards for Best Debut and Best Actor.
Before his breakthrough, Roshan worked as an assistant director on notable films such as Khudgarz, Koyla, Karan Arjun, and King Uncle. Following his debut, he starred in a series of successful films, including Lakshya, Krrish, Dhoom 2, and Jodha Akbar, solidifying his status as one of Bollywood’s leading stars.
However, the past five years have not seen Roshan achieve any solo box office successes. His film War, featuring a dynamic partnership with fellow action star Tiger Shroff, showcased his continued appeal, while he made a brief appearance in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (2023). In his latest project, Fighter, Roshan stars alongside Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and Akshay Oberoi. His previous release, Vikram Vedha (2022), co-starring Saif Ali Khan, was deemed an average performer at the box office.
Despite this recent lack of solo hits, Roshan remains one of the highest-paid actors in the industry, commanding a fee of Rs 75-100 crore per film. His annual income is estimated to be around Rs 260 crore, bolstered by lucrative brand endorsements, for which he charges Rs 10-12 crore, and sponsored media posts, fetching Rs 4-5 crore each. With a net worth of Rs 3,100 crore, he surpasses other A-list actors such as Aamir Khan (Rs 1,850 crore) and Salman Khan (Rs 2,900 crore).
Currently, Hrithik Roshan is busy filming War 2, which will also feature Jr NTR. This highly anticipated sequel is set to be part of the YRF Spy Universe, with a release date slated for 2025.
