Film star Chiranjeevi Konidela received the prestigious title of the most prolific star in the Indian film industry from Guinness World Records at a special event held in Hyderabad on Sunday.
The honor was presented by a representative from Guinness World Records, and the event featured Bollywood icon Aamir Khan sharing the stage with Chiranjeevi. The certificate stated, “The most prolific film star in Indian Film Industry – actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star, achieved on 20 September 2024.”
In response to the accolade, Chiranjeevi expressed his surprise at receiving such recognition from Guinness World Records. He remarked on how dance has become a vital part of both his film career and personal life, highlighting how audiences have embraced his performances.
Aamir Khan, expressing his admiration for Chiranjeevi, stated that it was an honor to share the stage with him. He referred to Chiranjeevi as an elder brother and praised the actor’s dedication and passion for dance, noting that it truly reflects his heart and soul.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy took to ‘X’ to congratulate Chiranjeevi, emphasizing that this achievement is a source of pride for the Telugu people. Other notable figures, including TPCC president Mahesh Goud and Ministers Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, also shared their congratulations on social media.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao praised Chiranjeevi’s incredible journey, stating, “From debut to dominance – what an incredible journey it has been for Chiranjeevi Garu! With 156 films, 537 songs, 24,000 dance moves, and countless memories, you @KchiruTweets Garu continue to inspire millions.”
Chiranjeevi was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor, last year, following his receipt of the Padma Bhushan in 2006. Over his 45-year career, he has reportedly performed more than 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs across 156 films. Notably, September 22 also marks the anniversary of his film debut in 1978.
