A charity festival in Larnaca has officially entered the record books by crafting a colossal 75-metre-long sheftalia, a traditional Cypriot sausage. The record-breaking event unfolded on Sunday in the garden of Saint Lazarus, located in the village of Dromolaxia, during the 4th Annual Charity Festival, “Saint Lazarus and his Little Friend Savvas.”
This year, the festival saw participation from over 150 organizations and institutions, emphasizing its growing popularity and community impact. Organizers aim to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for people of all ages while raising vital funds for the Saint Lazarus Centre for People with Disabilities.
The centre provides essential services to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Additionally, the fundraising efforts benefit various charitable institutions that offer care, education, and healthcare services to those in need.
