West Palm Beach, FL – West Palm Beach has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people in dinosaur costumes, with an impressive 468 participants surpassing the previous record of 252.
The event took place on a Friday night in downtown West Palm Beach, where a prehistoric spectacle unfolded as hundreds of people dressed in dinosaur costumes gathered to break the world record. The official attempt was organized by the Cox Science Center and Aquarium, with participants aiming to outdo the previous Guinness World Record of 252 people dressed as dinosaurs, a record held since 2019.
Guinness World Records adjudicator, Thomas Bradford, confirmed that the goal was to beat the previous mark of 253 participants, with strict guidelines in place—only dinosaur costumes were allowed, and participants had to remain in costume long enough to be counted.
By the end of the event, the crowd exceeded expectations, with 468 participants dressed as dinosaurs, officially smashing the previous record and securing West Palm Beach’s place in the Guinness World Records.
This fun and creative achievement highlighted the community’s enthusiasm, turning downtown West Palm Beach into a lively Jurassic celebration.
