In the 2024 edition of the World’s Best Vineyards awards, Spain’s Marqués de Riscal has finally claimed the coveted first place, after finishing second for three consecutive years. The prestigious Rioja producer was honored at a ceremony held at Nyetimber in West Sussex, where vineyards from around the world competed for the title.
Marqués de Riscal’s ascent to the top spot marks a significant milestone for the iconic winery. Known for its futuristic hotel designed by architect Frank Gehry, the vineyard offers visitors a sensory experience with breathtaking views of its sprawling 500-hectare vineyard in Rioja Alavesa.
