Samsung Electronics has secured the top spot on YouGov’s Best Global Brands 2025 rankings, solidifying its place as the world’s best brand for the second consecutive year. This marks a remarkable rise for the tech giant, which was ranked fourth in 2017, before consistently appearing in the top four of the rankings in subsequent years. In 2021, Samsung placed second, and in 2022, it took first place.
This year, Samsung stands out as the only Asian brand in the top 10, reflecting its growing influence on the global stage. The rankings are based on over 1 million consumer surveys across 28 markets, assessing brands across six key attributes: Impression, Quality, Value, Customer Satisfaction, Reputation, and Recommendation.
Steve Hatch, CEO of YouGov, emphasized the significance of understanding brand perception in today’s competitive landscape. “Brands have never been more important — and in today’s dynamic marketplace, where consumer sentiment can make or break a company’s success, understanding brand perception is imperative,” Hatch said.
Samsung’s recognition is also backed by its performance in other major rankings. In October 2024, it was named a “Global Top 5” brand by Interbrand for the fifth consecutive year. The company’s brand value surpassed $100 billion for the first time last year, thanks to its strategic push in AI-driven products, enhanced device connectivity, and its commitment to sustainability.
Samsung’s ability to adapt and innovate continues to drive its success, with AI technology and sustainability at the heart of its strategy.
