The Florida Aquarium has once again been recognized for its vibrant aquatic displays, interactive exhibits, and commitment to conservation.
In the 2024 USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards, the Florida Aquarium in Tampa secured the No. 8 spot among the top aquariums in the United States.
The selection process for the list involves a panel of experts who nominate the aquariums, followed by a public voting period where readers choose the winners. According to USA Today, the chosen aquariums “represent the best in the country for their high-quality exhibits and visitor interactions.
USA Today highlighted the Florida Aquarium’s diverse collection of more than 8,000 plants and animals, which includes alligators, sharks, river otters, and free-flying seabirds. The publication praised the aquarium’s focus on both local ecosystems, such as mangroves, and international environments showcased in exhibits like the Journey to Madagascar.
The Florida Aquarium has consistently ranked among the nation’s top aquariums, appearing in the list five times since its inception in 2014. Last year, it also ranked 8th, and it achieved its highest ranking of No. 2 in 2019.
