David Rush, a serial record-breaker from Boise, Idaho, has secured his 177th Guinness World Record by reclaiming the title for the most tennis balls caught behind the back in one minute with a team of two.
Rush, along with his frequent collaborator Jonathan “Hollywood” Hannon, originally set this record in 2023. During their initial attempt, Hannon threw tennis balls over Rush’s head, who successfully caught 22 of them behind his back within the time limit. However, their record was subsequently surpassed by another team who achieved 25 catches.
Recently, Rush and Hannon made a triumphant return to reclaim their title at a Michigan school where Hannon’s children attend. In front of an audience, they managed to catch 26 tennis balls behind their backs, surpassing the previous record by one catch.
Rush, who now holds an impressive 177 records, is closing in on his ambitious goal of achieving 181 concurrent Guinness World Record titles, aiming to establish himself as the ultimate record holder.
