The game where all you do is click a banana has skyrocketed in popularity, now ranking as the ninth most popular release on Steam of all time. This unexpected success has bumped both Hogwarts Legacy and Baldur’s Gate 3 down a notch on Steam’s most played games chart.
Banana—as the game is aptly named—boasts an impressive peak of 884,469 players, according to SteamDB.
To provide some perspective, Hogwarts Legacy, which became the best-selling game of 2023 in the United States and surpassed sales of Call of Duty, now holds the tenth spot with an all-time peak of 879,308 players. The critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning Baldur’s Gate 3 has been edged out of the top 10, with an all-time player peak of 875,343.
