On July 8th, Idaho resident David Rush achieved yet another Guinness World Record by popping 55 balloons in one minute using chopsticks. This feat marks Rush’s 180th concurrently-held world record title, placing him alongside the renowned Italian record-breaker Silvio Sabba.
Rush, a serial record-breaker, had previously held the record for the most balloons burst with chopsticks, initially achieving 24 pops. Despite losing and regaining the title multiple times as others surpassed his counts, Rush dedicated two months to rigorous preparation for his latest attempt. His training regimen included hurling approximately 10,000 chopsticks into cardboard boxes to refine his speed and accuracy.
In his successful attempt, Rush decisively surpassed his previous best by bursting 55 balloons within the allotted 60 seconds, reaffirming his dominance in this quirky but competitive arena of world records.
