A New Zealand tour has achieved global recognition, outshining millions of other listings to be named one of the world’s best.
Cheeky Kiwi Travel’s Milford Sound Day Tour & Cruise, which departs from Queenstown and returns, has earned a prestigious spot in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best for 2024. The tour was ranked No. 16 in the Sailing & Day Tour category, placing it in the top 1% of the platform’s 8 million listings.
With over 1,000 five-star reviews and a recommendation rate of 98% on Tripadvisor, the tour offers an intimate and personalized experience for small groups. The fully guided round-trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound is designed to provide a closer encounter with nature and wildlife, including fur seals resting on the rocks, thanks to the use of smaller boats.

The top spot in the Sailing & Day Tour category went to a tour of the Dubrovnik Elaphite Islands in Croatia, which boasts over 4,000 five-star reviews. Second place was awarded to a tour of Niagara Falls, followed by a two-day tour of Cat Ba in Halong Bay, Vietnam.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards are based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings accumulated over a year. Fewer than 1% of the 8 million listings on Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, receive this recognition.
