Maruti Suzuki Brezza
Securing the third position, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza saw robust sales figures in June 2024, with 13,172 units sold compared to 10,578 units in the same period last year, marking a substantial 25 percent year-on-year growth. Despite this achievement, Maruti Suzuki continues to lead in hatchback sales, with the Swift topping the charts followed by the Ertiga in June 2024.
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta maintained its popularity as a top-selling SUV for Hyundai, achieving sales of 16,293 units in June 2024, up from 14,447 units sold in June 2023, representing a year-on-year growth of 13 percent. The updated Creta has been instrumental in helping Hyundai reclaim its position as India’s second-largest carmaker.
Tata Punch
Defying expectations, the Tata Punch emerged as the best-selling SUV in June 2024, underscoring its appeal despite being an entry-level model. Available in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) variants, the Tata Punch recorded sales of 18,238 units last month, up from 10,990 units in June 2023, reflecting an impressive 66 percent year-on-year growth.
The Tata Punch’s versatility across powertrain options has broadened its appeal among consumers, contributing significantly to Tata Motors’ sales performance in the competitive SUV segment.
