One Za’abeel, an iconic structure in Dubai known for its architectural prowess, has added to its accolades by setting three Guinness World Records through a spectacular 3D projection display.
The building, distinguished as the world’s longest cantilevered structure, served as the canvas for an unprecedented showcase of technological innovation. This event not only secured the record for the longest architectural projection but also for the largest display and the largest mesh screen on a building.
The monumental achievement was made possible by the unique design of One Za’abeel, which consists of two skyscrapers connected by ‘The Link’, a horizontal bridge suspended 100 meters above ground. Designed by Nikken Sekkei, The Link not only enhances the building’s aesthetics but also improves structural stability against wind-induced sway.
Earlier this year, creative agency Bureau Béatrice collaborated with MediaPro International to execute the groundbreaking display, spanning an impressive 272 meters (892 feet). This projection covered a total area of 28,665 square meters (308,000 square feet), setting a new benchmark in architectural displays.
One Za’abeel continues to redefine urban living in Dubai, offering a vertical city experience with luxurious amenities such as suites, spas, gyms, Michelin-starred restaurants, and panoramic views of the cityscape, including the renowned Burj Khalifa.
With these three new Guinness World Records under its belt, One Za’abeel reaffirms Dubai’s status as a global hub for architectural innovation and technological excellence.
