David Rush from Idaho has set a new benchmark in the realm of Guinness World Records by claiming the title for the most records held simultaneously. Rush achieved this milestone by breaking the previous record of 180 titles held by Italian record-breaker Silvio Sabba.
To secure his spot at the top, Rush set a new record for the most vinyl records smashed in 30 seconds, destroying 55 albums within the time frame. This accomplishment brought his total to an impressive 181 concurrent Guinness World Records, surpassing Sabba’s record count.
Rush acknowledged the challenge of maintaining his top position amidst fierce competition from other record enthusiasts, including Sabba, who has 180 records; Ashrita Furman, who holds around 150 records; and Andre Ortolf, with about 100 titles.
