GUWAHATI: Aaradhyaa Dhanuka, a 10-year-old from Guwahati, has achieved dual Guinness World Records, marking her as an ‘Officially Amazing’ talent. On May 19, 2024, Aaradhyaa set a new record by hula hooping for 21 minutes and 7 seconds around one arm at a 90-degree angle, surpassing the previous record held by Viha Gedia of the United States. Additionally, she set a record for spinning three hula hoops around her neck simultaneously for 4 minutes and 2 seconds.
This remarkable achievement took place under strict Guinness World Records guidelines and in the presence of official witnesses. Aaradhyaa’s success is a testament to her dedication and passion for hula hooping, following months of rigorous training. Her achievements add to her impressive collection of seven state records, three national records, and three world records, as well as an honorary doctorate in sports.
“I am thrilled and honored to have my name in the Guinness World Records,” Aaradhyaa said. “Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s record for the largest Bihu Dance Performance inspired me to pursue my own record.” She hopes her achievements will motivate others to follow their passions.
