Coldplay has announced additional performances for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour, following the success of their summer 2024 European shows. The new dates include concerts in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Seoul, and Hong Kong, with performances scheduled for January and April 2025. These shows are part of a two-and-a-half-year tour that has already sold over 10 million tickets globally, making it the most-attended tour in history.
Support acts include Elyanna in Abu Dhabi, with additional mystery guests for shows in Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Seoul yet to be revealed. This tour marks Coldplay’s first full-length headline performance in India since their 2016 appearance at the Global Citizen Festival. The band will also return to Hong Kong for the first time since 2009, Abu Dhabi since 2016, and Seoul since 2017.
Coldplay’s upcoming album, Moon Music, set to release on October 4, 2024, will be notable for its sustainability efforts, with each vinyl made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The album is available for pre-order and features the current single “WE PRAY,” which collaborates with artists Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna, and TINI.
In addition to new material, the band will perform hits from their Music Of The Spheres album and classics such as “Yellow,” “The Scientist,” and “Viva La Vida,” all within a spectacular show featuring lasers, fireworks, and LED wristbands.
Coldplay will offer a limited number of “Infinity Tickets,” priced at the local equivalent of €20 per ticket, to ensure accessibility for fans. These tickets, which must be purchased in pairs, will be available on November 22 at noon local time.
The band has also reported significant progress in their sustainability initiatives, achieving a 59% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to their previous tour, with over 9 million trees planted worldwide. DHL serves as the official logistics partner for the tour, aiding Coldplay in their commitment to sustainability.
