Megastar Chiranjeevi was honored as the most prolific film star in the Indian film industry by Guinness World Records on Sunday, with the award presented by Aamir Khan and representatives from the organization.
Expressing his surprise at the recognition, Chiranjeevi stated, “I have never dreamt about the Guinness World Records. This award is unexpected, and I am immensely grateful to my producers, directors, and fans.” He emphasized his passion for dance, which he believes contributed to this achievement.
Chiranjeevi also highlighted the significance of song and dance in cinema, recalling how his producers often encouraged him to include more musical numbers. Aamir Khan praised Chiranjeevi’s dedication to dance, noting, “Chiru gaaru always invests himself fully when he is dancing; that’s why we can’t take our eyes off him.”
Coincidentally, September 22 marks the anniversary of Chiranjeevi’s debut in Telugu cinema in 1978. He has reportedly performed 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs across 156 films. Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy congratulated him on this remarkable achievement.
