On Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day, Diriyah achieved a Guinness World Record for the largest display of artificial intelligence assistant devices. The event showcased over 500 Amazon Echo devices and Alexa voice assistants, harmonizing the national anthem and other patriotic songs at Bujairi Terrace.
Guinness World Records officials were present to validate the impressive feat. Kanzy El-Defrawy, a senior adjudicator, praised Diriyah for its innovative approach to entertainment. Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, emphasized the significance of this achievement in highlighting Saudi Arabia’s innovative spirit while celebrating its rich heritage.
Raf Fatani, Amazon’s regional GM for Alexa in the MENA region, noted that the record attempt intertwined artificial intelligence with Saudi culture, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to its traditions. Additional events were also held at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, attracting thousands of visitors.
