Lowville, New York, has once again entered the Guinness World Records, thanks to the Kraft Heinz plant and its Philadelphia cream cheese brand. During the annual Lowville Cream Cheese Festival, Philadelphia created an extraordinary 15,008-pound cheesecake, officially earning the title of the world’s largest cheesecake.
The massive dessert was a centerpiece of the festival, attracting hundreds of attendees eager to witness the record-breaking event. Festivalgoers were treated to slices of the colossal cheesecake, while the remaining portions were generously donated to local organizations, including the Lowville Food Pantry, Watertown Urban Mission, local schools, and retirement homes.
Philadelphia’s success at the festival marks a triumphant return to the Guinness World Records. The brand had previously set a record in 2013 with a 9,347.6-pound cheesecake. With its largest production plant located in Lowville, the festival provided the perfect stage for Philadelphia to reclaim the coveted title.
The Cream Cheese Festival, held annually, celebrates Lowville’s longstanding connection to the cream cheese industry, and this year’s record-setting achievement further cemented the town’s reputation as a cream cheese capital.
