Herbalife, a leading health and wellness company, has achieved a new milestone by setting a Guinness World Record for the largest high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class conducted across multiple venues. The groundbreaking event brought together over 4,900 independent Herbalife distributors and fitness enthusiasts, highlighting the power of community in promoting health and wellness.
The global workout, broadcast live from Las Vegas on September 21, 2024, attracted more than 11,000 participants from around the world, including individuals from France, Romania, and China, who joined via a livestream on Herbalife’s YouTube channel. In addition to the virtual participation, independent distributors organized in-person events at various locations, including Galaxy Park in the United States, the Mexico Olympic Committee facility, and the Mumbai Convention Center in India.
“By uniting from every corner of the globe, we have demonstrated the significant impact of exercise and community on leading a healthy, active lifestyle,” said Dr. Luigi Gratton, Vice President of the Office of Health and Wellness at Herbalife. “The success of the Herbalife Worldwide Workout is a testament to our independent distributors and their commitment to building communities where everyone is inspired to live their best life. Through this global event, we have proven that by fostering a supportive environment and embracing well-being, we can achieve remarkable things—such as setting a new world record.”
Brittany Dunn, an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records, confirmed that Herbalife successfully established a new world record with 4,916 participants and a remarkable 91.34% success rate, surpassing the previous record of 3,840 participants.
The event also served a philanthropic purpose, as Herbalife pledged to donate up to $40,000 to the Herbalife Family Foundation’s Casa Herbalife Program. This initiative aims to improve the lives of underprivileged children by partnering with existing charities to provide healthy meals and nutrition education.
Herbalife’s Worldwide Workout was driven by its vast network of independent distributors, who actively support their communities through product education, personalized coaching, and wellness programs. These efforts align with Herbalife’s Global Nutrition Philosophy, which emphasizes balanced nutrition, hydration, and a healthy mindset. Many participants prepared for the workout using science-backed products from the Herbalife24® line, including CR7 Drive—a sports drink developed in collaboration with Herbalife-sponsored athlete Cristiano Ronaldo—and Rebuild Strength, a protein-rich formula designed to aid muscle recovery.
In 2015, Herbalife previously set the Guinness World Record for the most participants in a HIIT workout within 24 hours and also achieved a record for the largest HIIT class in a single location, with nearly 4,000 participants at LA Live Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles.
