Ibiza has officially claimed the Guinness World Record for the largest number of people combing their hair at the same time. The event took place in the heart of Ibiza, where 1,200 stylists and 600 volunteers came together to celebrate this unique achievement. Organized by Z One Concept, the event marked the company’s 25th anniversary in 2024.
Photos shared on social media by Z One Concept captured the excitement as stylists and volunteers celebrated their record-breaking success at the Pacha nightclub. The idea for the event was conceived a year ago by the Italian hair products brand, aiming to commemorate its milestone anniversary. “We know that Ibiza is an island of entertainment, but it is also a beautiful, well-connected place where people come from all over the world,” explained Maja Wisniewska, the company’s art director.
To participate, a dedicated website was launched, attracting 1,500 registrants from the island. Ultimately, 1,200 stylists from 37 different countries participated, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with a multitude of languages in the queue. Participants hailed from as far away as the Netherlands, Panama, and various Latin American countries.
Among the stylists were around ten local professionals, including Kelly Espósito from One Concept Ibiza, a salon that has partnered with the Italian brand for over 15 years and employs its signature coloring technique. Juanjo Cárdenas, the salon’s owner, expressed pride in his employee’s participation, emphasizing the event’s focus on the hairdressing industry. The occasion not only highlighted the skills of stylists from around the globe but also celebrated the rich community spirit of Ibiza.
