Shibuya is showcasing its love for dogs in the most delightful way possible, offering visitors a chance to take home a piece of this canine charm.
Japanese lifestyle brand Felissimo, known for its adorable cat-themed products, has now turned its attention to dogs with the introduction of mini marshmallows inspired by the Akita Inu breed, a native Japanese dog recognized as a Natural Monument of Japan.
On October 17, Felissimo’s playful sub-brand, You+More!, launched online sales of these whimsical treats, aptly named “Too Cute to Eat Mini Japanese-style Akita Inu Marshmallows.” These marshmallows are reminiscent of the brand’s previous offerings featuring cat and Shiba Inu marshmallows, but this new line includes two distinct versions.
One version showcases a classic Akita Inu face design, available in three different coat colors and patterns. Known for their size and fluffiness, Akita Inus are perfectly captured in these soft, squishable marshmallows.
Crafted from egg whites and agar-agar, the marshmallows are filled with a rich chocolate paste, making them a delightful treat.
These mini marshmallows serve as a charming souvenir for yourself or your loved ones, encapsulating the spirit of your trip to Japan. However, keep in mind that the iconic Hachiko statue in Shibuya will be temporarily obscured from view during the days surrounding Halloween, so plan your shopping and photo opportunities accordingly in the coming week.
