In a bid to promote the launch of 20 new exchange-traded funds (ETFs), State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has partnered with McCann New York to unveil a significant marketing campaign titled “Getting There Starts Here.” This initiative underscores SSGA’s ongoing mission to democratize investing, following the launch of the first-ever S&P 500 ETF over 30 years ago.
The campaign kicked off with a ringing of the NASDAQ bell on October 29 and will feature a multi-channel marketing approach, particularly in major cities like New York City and San Francisco, through the end of the fourth quarter. It aims to generate awareness and engagement among retail investors while also reintroducing SSGA to intermediary and institutional audiences.
“Everyone has somewhere they want to go—a goal or dream they aspire to achieve. We want to inspire them to take action today to realize their goals tomorrow,” said a spokesperson for SSGA. The campaign will showcase individuals sharing personal stories about how investing has helped them reach their aspirations.
By investing in an ETF like SPY, the first-ever S&P 500 ETF, anyone with a brokerage account can “own the market” or create a diversified portfolio with just one trade, making wealth-building accessible to a wider audience.
