An Australian restaurant has secured its place in the Guinness World Records by preparing the largest serving of doner kebab meat and fries at the Campbelltown Street Festival in New South Wales.
King Kebab House, located in Campbelltown, crafted a colossal feast weighing in at a remarkable 1,212 pounds. The preparation involved 660 pounds of uncooked fries and over 1,300 pounds of chicken and beef, which were expertly cooked to create the record-breaking meal.
The finished kebab alone tipped the scales at 660 pounds, complemented by 552 pounds of golden, cooked fries, making up the enormous serving.
To present this remarkable meal, the food was arranged on a series of tables stretching more than 300 feet, allowing festival attendees to enjoy the historic offering.
Owner and operator Mevlana Cifci shared his gratitude for the community’s support, telling Guinness World Records, “The Campbelltown community has been incredibly generous and supportive of our business over the years, and we felt this was the perfect way to say thank you and give something back.” He continued, “We wanted to create a moment that Campbelltown could be proud of, one that would unite everyone and bring global recognition to our town.”
The successful attempt has officially earned the title for the largest serving of doner kebab meat and chips, adding a new chapter to the region’s culinary history.
