Nearly a decade after the brutal murder of his wife, Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, an Indian national from Gujarat, remains a fugitive and is on the FBI’s list of the 10 Most Wanted Fugitives. Patel, 34, is sought for the violent murder of his wife, Palak, in April 2015, in Hanover, Maryland.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has renewed its call for information regarding Patel’s whereabouts, emphasizing that he is considered “armed and extremely dangerous.” The FBI has been actively seeking leads on Patel’s location for years, offering a reward of up to $250,000 for any information that leads to his arrest.
On social media, the FBI urged the public: “WANTED—considered armed and extremely dangerous! Help the FBI find one of our Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel. If you have any information on Patel, a 34-year-old wanted for the violent murder of his wife, contact the FBI.”
Patel’s criminal charges include first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and the use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. The FBI reports that Patel killed his wife, Palak, by repeatedly striking her with a weapon while they were both working at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Maryland on April 12, 2015.
At the time of the murder, Patel and his wife were employed at the donut shop. Authorities believe he attacked Palak in the backroom of the shop, stabbing her multiple times with a kitchen knife, inflicting fatal wounds.
Despite the passage of time, the FBI continues to pursue Patel, as his case remains one of the agency’s most high-profile fugitive searches.
