KION GROUP AG has reached a significant achievement by being included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Europe Index for the first time at the close of 2024. This prestigious index recognizes the top sustainability performers across Europe, highlighting the Group’s dedication to long-term shareholder value and sustainability excellence in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects.
According to Valeria Gargiulo, KION’s Chief People & Sustainability Officer, this inclusion not only validates the company’s efforts but also serves as motivation to continue driving sustainability throughout their operations. As a global leader in intralogistics and supply chain solutions, KION emphasizes its responsibility to make the company more sustainable and assist customers and partners in achieving their own sustainability objectives.
KION’s inclusion follows its consistent recognition in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, where it has now been featured for the third consecutive year. The Yearbook distinguishes the top 15% of companies within industries such as IEQ Machinery and Electrical Equipment, further highlighting KION’s commitment to sustainability.
In 2024, KION achieved its best-ever score of 64/100 in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), improving from 61/100 in 2023. The Group scored 58/100 in the environmental dimension and 67/100 in both the social and governance/economic categories. This performance earned KION a spot in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Europe Index, which, as of December 31, 2024, includes 147 European companies that demonstrate leadership in sustainability within their industries.
