The Ministry of Ayush’s nationwide initiative, Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan, has made an extraordinary impact by securing five Guinness World Records, underscoring its commitment to promoting holistic healthcare and raising global awareness about Ayurveda.
The campaign achieved a record-breaking 6,004,912 pledges within a week, far exceeding the minimum target of 14,571. It also set a new record for the most pledges collected in a month, amassing 13,892,976 pledges, a figure that far surpasses the previous record of 58,284, which was held by Cigna and CMB Life Insurance Company in China.
With this remarkable monthly total, the Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyaan also claimed the record for the highest number of pledges ever received for a health campaign, exceeding the previous record of 569,057 set by Zifi FDC.
In addition, the campaign set two new records in the realm of digital participation. It created the largest online photo album of individuals displaying a digital certificate, with 62,525 photos—more than double the previous record of 29,068 photos held by Accenture Solutions. Furthermore, it established the record for the largest online video album featuring people reciting the same sentence, collecting 12,798 videos, thereby surpassing the previous record of 8,992 held by Ghe Bharari, Rahul Kulkarni, and Neelam Edlabadkar.
Richard Williams Stenning, a Guinness World Records adjudicator, formally recognized the achievements and presented the certificates to Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, during a ceremony in Mumbai.
Minister Jadhav expressed his pride in the Ministry’s achievements and dedication to advancing the Ayush healthcare system, while Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, highlighted that the Ministry had set six world records within just two months.
