Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 6: The Akshaya Patra Foundation has been honored with the prestigious ‘Best Civil Society Award’ for 2023-24 by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability. The award was presented to Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa, Co-Founder and Vice-Chairman, and Shridhar Venkat, CEO, at the 11th Asia Business Responsibility Summit held at the Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai on March 5, 2025.
In his acceptance speech, Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This award is a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of every individual at the Akshaya Patra Foundation. The event, attended by distinguished guests, was highlighted by the presence of Chris Pierce, CEO of Global Governance Services, UK, and Member of the Global Advisory Board at the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability, who presented the awards. Other industry leaders recognized at the event included Suresh Narayanan, CMD of Nestle Ltd; Sameer Mehta, Chair of Torrent Power Ltd; Venu Srinivasan, Chairman Emeritus of TVS Motor Co; and Peyush Bansal, Amit Choudhary, and Sumeet Kapathi of Lenskart.
