York has been ranked as the most expensive city in England for a Halloween night stay, according to research by the casino comparison service KingCasinoBonus. The study assessed cities across England, Scotland, and Wales, based on two primary factors: the average cost of an Airbnb stay on October 31 and the availability of accommodations for the same night.
While Dundee took the overall top spot for the priciest Halloween Airbnb stays, with an average cost of £235.63, York came in second overall and first in England. In York, the average Airbnb price on Halloween night was found to be £145.99, with 324 available listings. These figures earned York a score of 0.93 out of 10 in the study’s affordability ranking.
A spokesperson for KingCasinoBonus remarked, “It’s clear that the cost of enjoying a Halloween night away varies wildly depending on where you want to stay.”
Other cities that made the top five for the most expensive Halloween Airbnb stays included Cambridge, Peterborough, and Hull, with York standing out as England’s priciest destination.
